Works great on hard water/rust in toilets. I had a couple of toilets that looked awful. After the first use they looked 100% better. It took me 3 cleanings to get all the stains out of the toilets but now they are like new. The pumice stone didn't hold as well as I thought it would. Each purge consumed a full gem per purge. I still think it's worth the cost because now that the toilets are like new I don't have to use the stones anymore. So a badly soiled toilet needs a few stones, but once you've removed the stains, you're done.
