I knew this kit would require soldering/assembly. So this is a great/fun project. All parts are well labeled and the manual is 34 pages with pictures and excellent instructions. There are many projects out there with fewer instructions, poor component labeling, etc. Many projects are completed in 5 minutes, which makes them very boring. It took an evening to put this project together while we listened to music and I explained the work to my kids. This project has been divided into 6 sections so you can review your work as you work. As a side note, for people who understand what electronic kits actually are, check out: (transistor clock kit)[.] (ham radio kit)[.] and (oscilloscope kit)[.] I own not on that at Elenco or any of those sites I just love kits. We hobbyists really need more complex kits with SMD components for these "weekend builds". .
