Good results overall. I chose this one after reading reviews and specs from Nikon and other Tokina (11-16mm) options. I chose the Tokina 12-28mm because it offers slightly more power and versatility (28mm side) than the 11-16 option. Build quality is close to Nikon's, with a solid feel, nice smooth and precise zoom ring and comfortable manual/auto focus. The lens accepts a circular polarizer or other filter. The image quality is very good, although you get a clear vignette with an open aperture. You need to adjust or tone it down a bit. I'm just starting out with this type of focal length, but I can say that this Tokina will certainly live up to my expectations.
