They've shrunk a bit, but not as much as some other reviewers have claimed. I would say if you wash properly (wash in cold water then tumble dry medium) and you know what you are doing when shopping for clothes for your child (usually buy a little more than what they are wearing now, ever depending on the weather, winter or summer) then I would say if your child is skinny buy the size they wear based on the chart, if they are fat a few sizes bigger and if they are in the middle is like mine, then buy 1 size bigger. and the leg holes don't stretch much so if you have a burly little monkey with really fat legs I would look elsewhere. They are great however and they are amazingly breathable for little ones who get tingly heat underneath when it's hot and the design will not fade if you wash it properly. in general I am very satisfied 😄
