It's ready to install. It took me longer to get the tools than to install them. One of the previous reviews said he took out the pivot pin (not required) to install the mount. I just decided where to place the top mounting screw. I drilled a pilot hole and tightened the screw leaving a gap for attaching the bracket. I hung the spool on the top bolt, marked the bottom bracket hole to drill the pilot hole. Set the spool aside, drill the bottom pilot hole, and tighten the screw leaving a gap. Slide the coil mount down over the screw heads and tighten. I used 1/4" x 1" hex head screws. Ideal for mounting bracket.
