Glad I ignored the negative reviews and ordered it anyway. I live alone and have a black cat who loves to rub surfaces and leave her fur all over the place. With a traditional skirt, I would have to lift the mattress to take the skirt off and wash it, and then lift it back up to put it back on. This skirt eliminates that need. It took me 10 minutes to install and I didn't have to lift the mattress at all. I didn't use the pins that came with it, but I'll keep them in case I need them. Until it moved. As other reviews have noted, it was incredibly wrinkled due to the way it was packaged, but after a few days in summer humidity it pretty much took care of itself and I have a hand held steamer to steam the leftovers into to get hands. Very happy with this purchase!
