Review on Merrell Alternative Closure Waterproof Hiking Boys' Shoes : Outdoor by Reginald Hamilton

I bought these shoes for my 6 year old hoping these shoes would keep his feet dry during recess. I chose the more expensive shoes at Merrell as I've had good luck with that brand myself. At first they looked and felt great. I am not sure if they are really waterproof. Every day he came home with his socks soaked, either from leakage or sweat. However, my biggest complaint is that they can no longer be worn as the entire inner lining has detached from the shoe and is crumpled at the toe box. Very uncomfortable for him and he will not wear it. It was only worn for a month and a half.
