Great little light: lamps and shades

I bought this for my bedside reading lamp. The bulb that came with it wasn't bright enough for reading so I replaced it with a 17.5w 100w led bulb which works fine. However, the lampshade could be a bit higher as the lightbulb peeks out from under the lampshade. I'm hoping that by adding a shim I can raise the tint enough that it isn't a problem. If the lamp came with two twist-lock sockets, the socket housing could be adjusted to solve this problem.
