Helped soothe irritated skin on my cat and dog

I've been battling a horrible flea infestation for over a month now. I bathe my cat and dog every other day using Dawn dish soap and their regular shampoos (choice for my dog and Furminator for my cat) and even take them to the groomer for flea baths. I've used topical medications on each of them (Frontline for my dog and Advantage II for my cat). I've been vacuuming, mopping, spraying insecticide and IGR and washing everything almost daily, but it seems like I'm fighting a losing battle. No matter what, I would still find dozens of fleas on their bodies (right after bathing), and my poor pets' skin is itchy. I'm sure all the baths and chemicals dry out her skin too (they're natural for my hands!). I have to say that this shampoo has been a good relief to my pets. I lathered and rinsed my pets in 5 minutes with Dawn dish soap. Then I repeated with Adam's shampoo (lather for 5 minutes and rinse thoroughly). The shampoo foamed very well. I followed the directions and only used 3 tablespoons of shampoo for my 15 lb dog and 2 tablespoons for my cat. I thought that the volume of the shampoo would not be enough, but the shampoo turned out to be so thick that it is more than enough. The fleas swam away with the conditioner. The smell is soft, powdery and reminiscent of the smell of a regular groomer shampoo. After rinsing her fur was left with an almost oily residue which I'm sure will soothe her dry skin. *** UPDATE (3 weeks later): I only use this shampoo and regularly bathe my pets once a week (with a 5 minute bath). A month went by so I reapplied the same brand of topical flea/tick medication. My dog was up for about 1 week and my cat just 48 hours. I just bathed them a third time with Adam's shampoo and I only found about 5-6 fleas on each of them. Every week I bathe my pets, the water turns red from all the flea droppings on them, but this time the water was clear! Within a week the itching and scratching was minimal so I know the shampoo is helping. An added benefit is that their coat looks much healthier and softer. My white dog's coat is light and white. The smell of the powder lasts for a week, so they still smell good after bathing. I reduced vacuuming and washing the linens to once a week because the cleaning was unbearable. This week the temperature has dropped below zero and the gas heater has been turned on. I know that moisture affects flea growth so I'm not sure if one specific thing or a combination of all makes a difference, but the most important thing is reducing the number of fleas. at last! I highly recommend this shampoo, but I recommend using gloves as it can be extremely drying on your hands. Very few products are suitable for both cats and dogs, so having both is an added benefit. *** UPDATE (4 months later): Fleas are officially gone! I think they've been gone since late December/early January. Since the last update, I have gradually reduced the number of baths to two weeks and have been updating my pets on their flea and tick medication monthly. Like I said, I'm not sure what exactly helped, but I think this shampoo made a huge difference in solving the problem! I actually stocked up on this shampoo because my husband and I love it so much! *** UPDATE (7 months later): Our house has long been flee free (thank goodness) but I just wanted to be in awe of it. This product is a little bit more. I recently shampooed my long haired Persian cat with this shampoo and after a few weeks she still smells great! Also, I like the way he takes care of his coat. I haven't even used conditioner and his coat is full, soft and doesn't tangle!
