I didn't think it would work for a 240VAC two phase water heater. I've seen other Wi-Fi switches that control both phases at the same time. This switch only has 1 relay, so can only control one of the two phases. However, the YouTuber pointed out that when one of the phases is disconnected, no current flows. Therefore, the same thing is done as if both phases were interrupted. Love the fact that this is a Sonoff device that can be flashed with Tasmota for my Home Assistant setup. I am currently using this unit successfully in my garage for a water heater and am purchasing another for an outdoor pool pump. Must report whether the outdoor unit lasts too long when placed in a waterproof case and exposed to daily sun and rain.
