Review on SE RA912 RM6 Rubber Mandrels 6 Pack by Jose Muenzen

These discs are similar in design and quality to the ones that came with my Dremel but at a much better price. I'm working on a fiberglass car build and there are a few spots that need to be cut out like headlight holes etc. I used a Dremel with a cut-off wheel to close them and then used 60 grit sanding discs to finish the job. They work great. And I do non-trivial sanding - I sand 0.5 to 1 inch fiberglass around the perimeter of each hole. Other methods, like saws and drills, help the gelcoat chip off the edges, while sanding leaves a nice, clean, and smooth edge. One note: it took me a while to set the speed of the dremel. 15k-20kRPM the straps stayed on the tool and I was able to cut an opening with an adlight. Even at 30rpm when the discs failed they shot back and were never seen again in the darkest corners of my garage. At 15k I haven't had a single failure yet, but after a while they loosen on the mandrel and start to slide off, after which it's ready for replacement.
