my puppy is safe on the road

I would like to speak to someone about how to properly attach the carrier to the harness. Two clips located on one side of the trunk that the seat belt goes through and attaches to? However, the hole in the side of the stretcher faces the back seat and the puppy cannot see through this hole. So I'm not sure if I'm connecting it correctly. There were no instructions in the box.
