Review on KYB 553333 Gas A Just Gas Shock by Scott Gafur

Excellent shock absorbers, easy to fit on the PT Cruiser

Fitting the rear shock absorbers on the PT Cruiser is very easy if you have access to two bushings. Jack up the car, remove the rear wheel. Two bolts hold the shock absorber, one on top, one on the bottom. Remove the old shock, then install the new shock firmly, but not tightly, into the upper bracket, and then use a second jack under the axle to align the lower mounting hole on the axle with the mounting hole in the damper. After installing both bolts, simply tighten both bolts to specification, put on the rear tire, lower the car, and you're done. Only 30 minutes for both sides. These shocks replaced the Original Equipment shocks in a 2001 Cruiser with 120,000 miles on the odometer and provided a significant improvement in ride quality over the Original Equipment shocks.
