Wireless charging issues

A friend told me about this mount and I was glad to get it because it's small and discreet. The magnet is quite strong, but I found it too weak to place the plate off-center on the Galaxy S6. If it were closer to the end of the phone (1/3 of the way), the phone's weight would cause it to sag. never mind I also had a little trouble installing this in my machine. Not so much the actual installation as finding a level spot in a good spot. In the end I settled on a seat that was a bit away from the steering wheel but acceptable. Before you buy, be sure to look around in your car for a suitable installation location. The big issue I had was wireless charging. I use mine all the time and have found that the metal plate on the phone gets VERY hot. Almost hot. I think the wireless charger actually heats the stove inductively, like an induction stove in your kitchen. It wasn't a phone that heated up the plate as it got hot almost immediately when it started charging, and then the tablet cooled down quickly after charging and the phone didn't heat up noticeably. Overall, this is a good basic mount, but problems can arise if you use wireless charging.
