To verify accuracy I used a 1oz Anchor Hocking shot glass with measurements. To test the shot, I used a metal tablespoon (for measurements, not utensils) and an 8-ounce glass measuring cup. All three are from three different manufacturers, and all three agreed on the accuracy of their measurements. If the anchor hocking glass is inaccurate, all three measuring devices from three different manufacturers must also be deflected by the same amount. What are the chances of this happening? Hardly ever. I used ml measurements on this 2.5 ounce metal measuring cup. The top size says 75ml, the actual size is 70ml. That's a teaspoon less than it should be. It's also on the limit. The next measurement down says 60ml. The design of the mug is that the flat part rises up the mug followed by the slanted part. Using the tip of the bevel where it meets the level actually gives you 55ml. Again 1 teaspoon less than written. If I used the bottom of the bevel it would be even bigger. The next one says 45ml at the bottom, actually it's 38.33ml. The third ml was estimated. However, it was more than a teaspoon short of what it should have been. The next measurement says 30 ml. It's actually 25 ml. It says 20 ml, actually 17.5 ml. To get half a ml I used a glass pipette from a 2 ounce glass bottle. A teaspoon requires 8 full squeezes. It took 4 clicks. So that's half a teaspoon of what he says. Finally the bottom size says 15ml. It's size is 15ml. If you use the bottom bevel instead of the top. If you use the top like the other measurements it will be over 15ml. The dimensions are engraved on the metal so the measurements are easy to read. But what if the measurements are wrong? It holds liquid. For that I give 3 stars. If you must use something to measure something, don't use it, look elsewhere.
