My cat started using it after a few days but soon she started using it every day. We tried smearing some catnip on the surface to tempt them and it seemed to work. We just fixed it to the wall with the supplied adhesive strips and so far it's holding up pretty well (after 2 months of use). . The fabric itself also appears to be very durable, as a scratch has not yet led to any noticeable wear. The ability to wall mount this scraper allows us to save valuable space in our small bedroom so this combined with its quality construction and durability make this item a value for money!
