Pros: Inexpensive, light, metal rather than plastic, works as advertised. too short, no fuse. They do what they say but I had to play around with them to get them aligned and paired properly. they on the pole they are clamped. So they only rotate around this axis. I mount them to Hepco and Becker roll bars and neither of them point straight up and down which is necessary to point straight ahead. You can also point them straight ahead if you have a horizontal bar to mount perpendicular to the direction of travel of the bike, e.g. B. Turn signal lever. But I wanted mine to be on crash barriers. Anyway, both lights were aimed at the ground about 20 feet in front of the bike. Because of this, the light in front of us seemed very dim. So I had to improvise. There are two small screws that attach one half of the clip to the body of each light. I removed the back screw to turn the light on the one remaining screw. I put Loctite on this screw to make sure it doesn't vibrate as it is now the only screw holding the light to the clip. I then added some glue (RV Goop) between the body of the light and the clamp for extra stability. They are now properly aligned and hopefully will remain so. Click More Details to continue. Wire Length - The wires connected to the lights and switch are too short. Expect to run in some longer wires (18 gauge wire should be more than enough to charge these bulbs easily, about 2.3 amps each). Connection Instructions - Follow these instructions at your own risk. Below are instructions for two types of connections: directly to the battery or through a relay. Please note that connecting directly to the battery may drain the battery if you forget to turn off the lights after your trip. If you prefer to wire it so that the light switch only activates when the ignition is turned on, skip to the Relay Wiring Instructions section below. INSTRUCTIONS FOR DIRECT CONNECTION TO BATTERY 1. Disconnect the cable(s) from the battery negative terminal to avoid short circuit during operation.2. Two wires come out of each lamp - red and black. Connect the black wires from the lights to the bike frame (assuming it's a negative ground bike). You can also connect them to the negative terminal of the battery.3. Connect the red wires from each light, then connect the green wire from the light switch to the same socket. So now you have two red and one green connected together. Connect the red wire from the lighting kit switch to one side of the 5A fuse which you will need to provide as it is not included. Then connect the other side of the fuse to the positive battery post.5. Connect the wires to the negative battery post you disconnected in step 1 and test the light. RELAY WIRING INSTRUCTIONS Most auto parts stores should sell relays. You only need a 12V SPST (single pole single throw) relay. It's hard to find one here at Revain, but here's a list of two 12V SPST relay packs: https://smile.amazon.com/2PCS-Relay-Vehicle-Switches-Starters/dp/B07B7GS4K3/ ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1529943423&sr=8-9&keywords=spst+relay+12v1. For safety, disconnect the cables from the negative battery post.2. Connect the signal wire to the relay. A signal wire is any wire on a bicycle that receives power when the ignition key is turned on. About any wire that has 12V when the key is on but has no voltage when the key is off will work. You will need to refer to the instructions for your specific relay to determine which terminal you need to connect it to. One of the relay terminals connects to the signal wire and the other terminal connects to ground (chassis or battery negative). The relay commands must identify these two terminals.3. Connect the black wires from each light bulb to ground. "Ground" can be a negative battery post or bare metal on a bike frame (if your bike has negative ground).4. Connect the red wires from each bulb together to one of the relay's NO (normally open) terminals. Again, see the relay instruction sheet here to determine which terminals are NOT terminals. 5. Connect the green wire from the light switch to the normally open terminal on the relay that is connected to the terminal you connected the red wires to in step 4. The instructions for the relay should specify paired normally open terminals. 6. Connect the red wire from the light switch to a 5A fuse, which you will need to provide yourself as it is not included, then connect the other end of the fuse to the positive battery post.7. Reconnect the negative battery cables that were disconnected in step 1, turn on the ignition and check the lights.
