Review on π Enhanced Canister Purge Control Solenoid by Standard Motor Products (Model CP470) by Ray Gist
Some only lasted a year.
This vent valve broke after only 13 months of purchase/installation. I made it fail in the "open position". These solenoids must be "NC" (normally closed). Of course I couldn't claim the guarantee at that time. Spend a few extra dollars and buy an ACDelco 214-1473 part that will last over a year.
