Review on Sargent Art 22-1592 Classic Fine Conical πŸ–οΈ Tip Markers - 30 Count in Peggable Pouch by Kristen Reid

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I can't believe I'm going to become an adult painting expert. I started a few months ago and am really enjoying it. Since then I have bought 7 books and five sets of markers. Now I have a pretty good idea of what works for me. I seem to like very detailed coloring pages with thick glossy paper. These markings do not match. They are too thick for small details and a bit watery. The ink bleeds a bit so you can't use it for tiny gaps and the watery consistency dilutes the color so it's not bright and vibrant. However, if you prefer to paint large open areas, they are great. Bleeding ink means there are no lines on it, you can create a watercolor effect. I can't comment on the variety of shades as I don't have the right coloring pages to use these markers. If I do I will update this review. There aren't many shades in all five marker sets I've bought, so I keep buying new sets. The colors are too similar. My favorite markers are the Faber Castell Grip Color Marker (purchased from Hobby Lobby) for slightly larger areas and the Staedtler triplus liner (purchased from Revain) for small, detailed areas. Both offer a large number of markers, but still many color gaps.

Pros
  • drawing
Cons
  • boring packaging

Not A Good Choice For Adult Coloring Books.
