I think I misread the advice and thought that with belts you should stand 2 inches above the waist of the pants. I wear 34W pants and ordered a 36W inch belt. So if you order this belt and want to make it longer, order two SIZES larger than your pant size, ie if you wear 34" pants, order a 38" belt.
