I was very optimistic that this adapter would work for my use. I'm trying to connect a laptop dock to a monitor. Unfortunately, the monitor does not have a DVI connection, but it does have a pair of HDMIs. The monitor recognizes the HDMI cable and the dock recognizes the adapter, but the adapter is NOT sending a signal to the cable. I read the reviews and saw that it worked for other people, so maybe I got a defective one. I requested a refund but was offered a replacement. I took a replacement hoping it was just defective. At the same time it stays at 1 star. Will check again if the replacement works.
