Overall I really liked this image capture device. Used it to create a local (not iCloud) photo backup on my iMac (prior to the latest iOS software update). Plugged in the device and did an image search and it immediately started searching for images. I ended up having to stay close to my iMac to keep the Imac from shutting down (going to sleep) and terminating the search (giving a "Search Canceled" error message). It took me about 30 minutes to save my first iMacs photos from start to finish. Went back and confirmed that my photos were indeed being backed up to the Picture Keeper drive, only to find that some of my iPhone photo and video backups were being missed (which aren't on my iMac desktop or in the Pictures folder). found). I read the FAQ and found that the device doesn't scan the entire hard drive (as it's supposed to) but instead starts at the 3 most likely locations where images are stored on the imac. It has a custom search option that allows you to set other "folders" to scan, but so far I haven't been able to get a custom search function to locate uploaded photos and videos from my iPhone - so I took 1 star out. from my review. At some point I may need to move these photos/videos to either the iMac desktop or the iMac Pictures folder to see if Picture Keeper finds them.
