These shoes are good for short-term use but not the best for tough, long days of hiking. My pair's bottoms are now so thin that they can no longer be worn. I've ridden them almost 50 miles and now they're rubbish, but as I said they're good for short-term use. I think if they had a firmer sole they would be better than now, like firmer sole rubber. I probably walk over a hundred miles a day at work and just in general.
