Well, sometimes you have to shoot the target several times to get the reading, sometimes it's clearly wrong, I don't know why. I measured the side of the house, it was 35 feet. wrong, again 85' . more precisely, right. It's happened a few times when it's wrong, it's very wrong. You need a very clear shot, if there's anything nearby you'll have a hard time getting a shot. When it works with a clear shot, it works great.
