I tried it on a Lucky cognac/brown leather jacket that I wanted to darken. It did not work. It is air conditioned but does not darken at all. I think it has something to do with how the leather has already been treated. The jacket already shines a little. But it looked great on vegetable tanned leather. Transformed my cherry red clogs into a beautiful burgundy. The photo shows what a layer looked like immediately after application, but after drying it became softer / lighter. A total of two thin coats were needed to get this color. I used aq tip to bypass the hardware and had no problems. Tip: Temperature and humidity will fluctuate, so if you're working in pairs, do your shifts at the same time to make them more consistent. I split mine for the day on the first layer, and the second took it a little differently - had to work hard to line up and adjust the second. The 2nd layer made at the same time went through the same way. FYI, this thing stinks.
