Bought in 2019, worked fine for several months. This worked for a month at most. I thought my hard drive was broken. So if your hard drive gets corrupted with this device, it may not be your hard drive. I'm only now finding out it's the device and not the hard drive because I finally bought a new hard drive to replace the last one and immediately the new hard drive disappears and shows up in Disk Management in Windows 10. Now I need to get my hard drive back and I would never have found out about this issue with many hard drives later on if I hadn't spent 1 hour researching the reasons behind the negative reviews of similar devices sold on Amazon. Some mention that there was consistency between the different brands of chipsets used. Regardless, I wrote this review in hopes of quickly leading others to my experience before they waste their hard drives. These devices can wreak havoc on your hard drives, so be careful when purchasing.
