I started off by purchasing only one, evaluating how well it worked for me at home before bringing it to work with me. I got a third for my dad to give to my mom. Some pros: Superb isolation from outside noise; you can hardly hear what is going on around them, and you can hardly hear what is being played in the headphones around you. They are very comfortable to wear, do not put pressure on the auricle, conform closely to the skull, and can be adjusted to accommodate a variety of different sized heads. I did not use any instruments to measure the frequency response, but it seems like there is an adequate amount of everything, including the bass and the highs, and there are no peaks and troughs. When I first saw the "telephone" cable, I was taken aback by it; however, as time went on, I came to realize that it is actually quite practical. In its normal state, it occupies less space than a straight line would, and when you need to reach somewhere, it provides room for maneuvering. These are some downsides: 1. Because they were intended for stationary use, only true music fans should ride in them while they are being transported. 2. They not only warm the heart, but also the mind and the body. 3. As you listen to the music and enjoy yourself, you are unable to hear your wife mention that she forgot her towel when she went to the bathroom.
