My chain was dry and making a lot of noise when pedaling. I would normally go to the local bike shop for service, but have now distanced myself due to COVID-19. I checked the chain to see if it rubs on the derailleur. Had not. I opened a can of this lanolin lube which required some muscle and put some lube on the chain. It worked great, drowning out the chain noise and making shifting smooth again. I made the trip late at night feeling good about the chain care and knowing I was using a natural and biodegradable product.
