Review on 🚀 JET 201354 Quadrajet Choke Thermostat: Enhanced Performance and Reliability by Bobby Lawson

This unit replaced another brand of electric throttles which failed years ago. Works great, but there are no instructions for it. When installing you have to adapt the new throttle to your carburetor anyway. I did a two-step install. Install it first so the new block will keep the choke closed when the engine is cold. Rotated normally, made small adjustments to the carburetor. BUT. The next day I fine-tuned the choke setting (again) to pull back faster, i.e. tilt the choke to the point where it barely closes the choke on a cold engine and lowers the fast idle faster. It turned out that a 44 year old 76 year old Chevy C10 Quadrajet (which was never removed from the engine) had a sticky throttle shaft at fast idle, so I flooded the camshaft joints with WD-40. Now the cold start and transition to normal idle works like new. My father bought this truck brand new. The vacuum discharger worked fine, so I didn't bother with it.
