Needed a USB extension so I can connect a webcam to stream our garden bird feeders as I haven't found a suitable outdoor setup yet. I was concerned if this would work or not as the reviews mention conflicting results and the webcams may be wrong or missing from the extensions, but it worked great. For reference, I have a Logitech C920 camera connected directly to my computer's motherboard. It's important to note that USB hubs and other devices placed between your computer and the extension cord can cause problems. I didn't notice any quality loss or problems. The cable is well made and doesn't feel cheap, but there's a catch. It makes a low, piercing noise like a squeak. You can only hear it when you are a few feet from the "fat" end (where all the circuitry is). It's most likely a noisy capacitor or something and I'll investigate the issue in the future, but so far I haven't noticed any problems. It could just be a quirk of the circuit because while it looks good, it's probably built out of cheap components, or I could just be getting weird. However, the cable is more than 20 feet away so I don't notice it and neither does anyone else.
