Review on Color Pack Weight Thread 125Yds by Nicole Mcleod

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Make sure you use really thick thread

This heavy weight XP sewing thread is not meant for multipurpose use. I bought this to use in my sewing machine to sew 100% medium weight cotton home textiles. I had difficulty using this thread on my particular machine due to tension issues. I've tried adjusting the voltage but to no avail. So I changed it to #50 cotton thread and it worked fine. If I use this in the future it will be for hand sewing. This would be great for sewing buttons onto coats. There are many different types of thread made from different fibers designed for a specific purpose. 50 gauge universal thread, cotton or cotton/polyester. and that's what we mean by basic sewing thread. This thread has a weight of 40. It is intended for sewing heavy, dense fabrics without elasticity.

Cons
  • So far so good
