I know $35 seems like a lot for some batteries but I converted an 18v battery with it and is holding up now the battery forever. It should be noted that most people say the tabs are meant to be pulled out all the way. I did this and had a hard time keeping the solder attached to the battery. The next time I rebuild the package, I'll leave part of the old tab there for the sake of simplicity. I also ordered solder pads and insulating paper from Amazon. The total investment was around 65.00 to restore the battery. I know you can buy another brand of dough on Amazon for $27, but this battery lasts forever. Requires work. Pay attention to the type of charger. These batteries are NiMh, not NiCad. A NiMh charger is also required.
