[Update] Mac + DP Displayport NOT working reliably

The displayport on this one is unreliable. First it worked for a while and now when I turn it on it flashes for a second then goes off. Unfortunately it is unusable for me. --- Former name: Great budget desktop dock, wish it had two more USB ports. There are a lot of them and they use the same photos so look out for the cheapest one. They are obviously all the same and this one was $110 when I bought it. It replaced one of those candy bar-sized ones with the exact same connectors that slide across your desk, with cables exploding everywhere. I have a Mac laptop and the slipping problem gets worse when you use the stand to bring the screen closer to eye level. The real problem is that the USB-C connection cable for mobile devices is usually fixed and never long enough. I had to put a small box underneath to relieve the laptop's USB-C port. Ugly and impractical. If you try to be universal, you're missing someone. I would love to replace the VGA port (included in the box why in 2021?!) with additional USB ports of any kind which is never too much. Separate microphone and audio-out jacks could be combined into a combo port, and a single USB-C data port would be better on the front for me. But hey, it does everything I need at a really decent price, and these things might be perfect for you. Like me, it's not the prettiest thing in the world, but it's solidly built and gets the job done. Let's hope this lasts for a while.
