I like to drink loose tea, but I don't like these steel mesh brew balls for several reasons: they deform easily, they are difficult to close, they don't hold well and you let in a lot of small particles, causing the tea becomes cloudy in the lower layers. . This infuser is the complete opposite of all that and I love using it! The micro mesh holes are great for holding smaller particles and help protect my tea from contamination. It opens and closes easily, has enough for my 4 cups of tea concentrate and the chain is long enough for my brew glasses. It cleans up easily in the sink, but I can't say how it performs in a dishwasher as I don't have one. I like the included saucer very much, very practical!
