This bag worked very well for our frenchie. Our ingest concern was finding a bag that would meet airline requirements but that he would be comfortable in. The zippers are the reason we purchased. I will say they get stuck easily so it requires some practice and fineness to get the hang of it. We were worried about flying with him as he is taller than most frenchies and weighs about 32lbs. We flew both ways without any issues or questions from floght attendants or airline workers. I did purchase another bag for my other smaller frenchie who weighs about 23lbs so I ended up switching out the insert on the bottom of this bag since that one was more sturdy. Please note that this bag is not meant to carry heavier pets. The only reason we purchased was due to the compartments that can be unzipped to allow our pup extra room on the floor once in-flight. Wheb we carried it around we used both the shoulder and the hand straps and supported our pups with our hand at the bottom to ensure the bag held up for duration of our trip. We actually left the front opened when traveling through the airport as he was very curious to look around and and to his length. he could turn around in it but could not stand up. I did wish it was slightly taller of a bag but if taller it may not meet the airline recommendations. Worked out well overall we were pleased.
