I install a lot of flags for veterans and have done for years. this pole was ordered because I needed it fast for a rush job. I already dug a 3 ft hole and had a piece of 3 " PVC in the hole cemented in for about a week. when the kit came I put it together except the bottom pole and white pvc sleeve. I put the bottom pole in the ground inside the 3" pipe "now dry" and then poured more concrete inside the PVC pipe and around the base. when that was done I mixed up some cement slurry and poured it down the now level drying first section of flag pole. when it dries the wind can blow all it wants, this pole isn't going anywhere. That's how I install a flag pole--I then put the upper flag pole section on top and replaced the cheep flag with a quality American made flag- sewn in stars and stripes.The only thing I would add is the truck on top is PLASTIC-- cheep type, you may want to put a couple of wraps of tape around the top of the top piece of flag pole and then install the truck so it's tight. then put two self tapping screws on either side of the truck and into the pole. then tighten carefully the back screw.so far no problems, but I have ordered an aluminum truck to replace this one if the wind rips it off the pole.
