This works really well as a Qi charger without having to remove the phone cases to charge. However, if you attempt to remove the phone AFTER parking the vehicle, the clips will not release the phone. The vehicle needs to be turned back on and THEN it releases the phone with a light touch on the sides. Apart from that it works fine. My daughter actually chose to use it on her desk and it works better than using it as a dash charger.
