I bought this to replace the original I have had since Christmas 1992. The original was a gift from my husband. The center stone was replaced once and fell out a few years ago. Due to the wear and tear of my original ring, the cost of replacing the stone and additional repairs is over $3,000. My husband now has dementia. He thinks it's a ring he gave me years ago and he's happy that I still want to wear it. It makes him happy, so it makes me happy. I've gotten to a point in my life where "real" diamonds don't matter anymore. I find cubic zirconia just as pleasing to the eye. I can replace this ring many times if needed for this amount.
