I bought these to replace several coils of 5050 light bars that I travel with. They use MUCH less power than light strips and make a great replacement. So far I have only used them in conjunction with a USB charger/converter and they have been perfect for tent lighting. I still have work to do on a solar and camping battery combo. Size is the best factor as I only need a small box and a USB charging plug or power adapter, not several rolls of light strips (only 15m each) and a 12v power driver. I would like to know how much power they draw so I can calculate how long I can run them on a USB power bank. I know it's 5V, but I don't know what current or watts are being drawn for the required calculations. These lightbars are quite bright, twice the length of my lightbars and have excellent color. They appear to be true colors, while other fairy lights I've seen can't do color manipulation either - meaning purple actually appears as red and blue at the same time and doesn't mix well. They've been stepped on, bent over, and put through the ear with no problems, so I find them to be durable as well. I liked them so much that I bought another box right after trying them!
