
DO NOT BUY if you are running Windows via Bootcamp on a MacBook Pro. I have bought several of these units for the office and they all freeze on a daily basis. You're going to work and suddenly all the video content streaming to your dual monitors will revert to the original screen (MacBook screen) and your dual or external monitors will be blank. In this case, you must turn off the Startech device to restart it. In our application, we lose all work in any program or document we were in (e.g. Word, Excel) because the network connection that goes through the back of the Startech device is cut. I called the manufacturer about this issue and they told me they couldn't replicate the issue. They recommend using their product exclusively via Mac Osx as Windows causes problems for this product via Bootcamp. Unfortunately I can't return devices as I went through Revain's 30 day return policy and didn't get any real solutions from the manufacturer so I'm stuck with some devices not working properly for my app. They may work well if you use Windows exclusively on a PC or OSX through a Mac. Just don't try to boot Windows on a Macbook with these units.
