Review on πŸ“ Stanley 33-730 30ft 4in Measuring Tape by Sam Lund

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Is it a fake or just junk.

I bought a Stanley FATMAX tape measure primarily because I needed a tape measure at least 60 inches long for many measurements of my garage ceiling from a 10 foot ladder. I returned it because it was defective. In many, many attempts, I have not been able to stretch it past 4 feet without the band collapsing at the 4 foot mark. These bands are rated as outstanding at 11 feet. I was finally able to finish my project with my wife holding the 2 x 4 tape. I was in a rush before purchasing and didn't read the one star reviews. You must read the entire list of one star reviews before purchasing. Several reviews discuss broken straps hanging down and the possibility that this product is counterfeit. THIS BAND IS CONTINUOUS. As received, the thick plastic shipping cover would not open as if sealed with Crazy Glue. I had to cut it piece by piece with metal scissors. ONTIME SUPPLY's supplier policy states that all returns must be in the original packaging. The seller also suggested that I was probably incompetent and misusing the tape. Therefore the return was not approved. Revain, without discussing the matter with me, accepted their position and charged me $4 to ship it back. I am very disappointed with FATMAX, ONTIME SUPPLY AND AMAZON.
