Review on Park Tool CG 2 4 Bicycle Cleaning by Dusty Oner

I bought this for my road bike to clean the chain and cogs after 3 years of use. Here is my review. Pros: - My chain and gears are much cleaner than before. Hooray, it works! - Liquid degreaser is great, works very well. - The tool works, but note the following cautions. - The included brush works quite well for the cogs/cassette. Caves: - I think this has been said in other reviews, but if you want to use a tool, YOU NEED: a bike stand (I used a Bikehand bike repair stand), somewhere to hang a bike, or someone else to help you with cleaning. It's basically a way of kicking the bike forward, lifting the bike so the wheel is off the ground, and holding the cleaning tool. If you have 3 hands I think that works too. I think a few bad reviews are due to this. - Have rags and towels ready as they can get dirty. Since I had dirt on my chain for 3 years, the degreaser immediately turned black. At first my bike wasn't level so the black degreaser spilled out of the tool onto the ground. Once I solved this problem by pedaling, the degreaser would fly out the front/back of the tool depending on whether I was pedaling forwards or backwards. So I had to put towels under the bike. Not the end of the world, but what I would like to know in advance. - All the black greasy dirt that was on your bike chain is now on the underside of the tool and needs to be cleaned. Other than that, disassembling the instrument wasn't that bad. All in all, it's a good tool and works well if you keep the limitations mentioned above in mind.
