Review on CRATEX Engine Turning Kit Z086 by Andres Black

Cratex is a great company that has developed truly rubber coated abrasives. I have used them in the past for porting and polishing and needed an easy to use multi-abrasive kit to power the motor on various projects. This kit is perfect. So far I've used them on aluminium, copper, stainless and cold rolled mild steel. In any case, it worked great. I've used it with a small amount of Clover valve lapping compound just for experimentation but to be honest I have a feeling they worked and looked best when dry. And since they are 1/2 they fit in my drill press. 1/2 inch swirlers aren't ideal for every project, but given the size, price, and ease of use, they're perfect. Will buy them again when they wear out without further use, probably not for many years. And I shoot a lot.
