Works but not as well as I expected. It seems finicky. I bought it because the Wi-Fi signal is almost non-existent on my desktop and I wanted to use my Surface Pro for multitasking. If I nudge the ethernet cable even a little bit while it's connected, it either says I'm not connected to a network or I'm connected but there's no internet on that network. It works again after I turn it off and on again. I also get an error saying the device is not recognized when I plug it in. Both USB ports work, but not for a heavy load (which was another reason I bought this). I wanted my external 3TB connected while backing up my iPhone instead of wasting all of my precious internal SSD space. It doesn't work with this device. (Yes, my external hard drive uses its own power supply.) It can be used for an external hard drive connection, although it is delicate. It's not a total letdown, but it doesn't quite live up to my expectations.
