Great storage and workspace for the builder in your life

A serious builder might be wondering what could be better than a large transparent basket (for storage) and a sheet (for quick cleaning). You get the best of both worlds with the Lay-n-Go Lifestyle Activity Mat: It's essentially a parachute-like blanket with integrated ropes around the edges. Pull the rope all the way out and the mount folds into a neat little backpack. It even has straps so your builder (in-training) can carry his blocks around (yes!). There are several Velcro pockets on the inside to isolate more important items: minifigures, manuals, crackers, etc. Yes, it might seem a bit overpriced, but the manufacturer didn't skimp on construction and materials. We received a smaller bag and it fits our kids perfectly. We even laid the lego on a sheet, crumpled it up and stuffed it into the activity mat along with all the other pieces that were already there. If you haven't gotten to the point where your builder is indexing Lego on shelves and tool boxes, this should take the stress out of cleaning and transporting. I would highly recommend it to any parent of Lego builders.
