I ordered a set of these fractional plates a few years ago when starting a weightlifting program - 2.5 pounds becomes a large hurdle fairly quickly, and this set allowed continued gains without blowing out my old joints.One or two of the plates had a small burr inside the hole, but it got knocked smooth after a couple of lifting sessions. After several years, there is some chipping and abrasion on the finish (especially where the plates contact the bar), but that's to be expected.
