Review on πŸ”‘ Dorman 99104 Keyless Entry Transmitter for Hyundai Models (OE FIX) - Ultimate Convenience! by Richard Gilbert

Will not work on 2011 Elantra Touring

Since it can cost up to $200 to get a new key fob from the dealer I really wanted it to work. But that's not the case. I tried it once, it couldn't be programmed. I tried it a second time and instead of going green "forward" it immediately went red and there was a long continuous beep. I contacted Dorman - they said the device should allow for up to three programming sessions, not one. They also confirmed that this unit should work with my 2011 Elantra Touring. So it must be a bad block. The seller refunded the item after a few emails and I had to redeem it from another seller (the cost went up $10, which isn't that funny). On the second device I didn't even get a programming. session before going straight to the long error beep. I will contact Dorman again in the morning but so far I am not happy with this product. Two "defective" devices in a row seem extremely unlikely.
