Save money with anti-theft

I was skeptical at first but took a chance and it turned out to be impeccable. It took me less than 1 minute to program the key fob that came with the ODB programmer. It took me longer to figure out where the ODB connector is on my 2007 Elantra which is just under the steering wheel/dash a bit to the right. If you hear a continuous beep, it means you connected the ODB connector incorrectly. After I adjust it a bit, there is a short beep, the green light comes on. That's when it's ready to beโ€ฆ

Good product. for keyless entry systems

Worked great. It takes longer to get to the car than to program 2 remote controls. I read somewhere that you have to get in the car and wait for the lights to go out before plugging the module into the OBD connector. Despite the fact that the instructions didn't mention this, I tried but couldn't connect the module while sitting in the car. Opened the door, walked out and bent down to connect the module, beep and green light, press and hold the lock button on the new remote until the locks work

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Will not work on 2011 Elantra Touring

Since it can cost up to $200 to get a new key fob from the dealer I really wanted it to work. But that's not the case. I tried it once, it couldn't be programmed. I tried it a second time and instead of going green "forward" it immediately went red and there was a long continuous beep. I contacted Dorman - they said the device should allow for up to three programming sessions, not one. They also confirmed that this unit should work with my 2011 Elantra Touring. So it must be a bad block. Theโ€ฆ

Out of service: Hyundai Elantr Touring 2012

Well packaged, arrived in one day. No. 99104 for Hyundai from 2007 to 2015. First surprise, the box says "not for a lost remote control. There must be a working remote control to program additional remote controls". Good for me as I have one that works but isn't listed anywhere prior to purchase. So, all the instructions followed exactly, also the car door must be closed when the programmer is connected, which I read here, but it wasn't in the instructions and turned out to be necessaryโ€ฆ

Worked with Some Monkeying

The instructions for this product are quite simple; Plug it in, wait for the green light and beep, then press the button on the remote control. When I plugged this unit into the OBD port of my 2008 Hyundai Elantra, I got a continuous hum and flashing red light and nothing happened when I pressed the button on the remote. Knowing that this device would only work "up to three times," I was really hesitant to just keep plugging and unplugging it. I googled a bit to see if there were anyโ€ฆ

Worked great on my 2014 Sonata

Update: (15/08/2021) I realize it's only been a few days but just wanted to say my remotes are still working as they did the day I bought a car . Follow the programming instructions. WARNING: Program both or all of your remote controls before testing their functionality. If you check the box after programming the first remote, your programmer will turn off and you will not be able to program the second remote. Thanks Dorman. If you have the door open, at least on my 2014 Sonata, the procedureโ€ฆ
