Review on ⚡️ Siglent SPD3303X-E Triple Output Power Supply: Maximizing Efficiency and Versatility by Eric Weber

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Ideal linear power supply for the laboratory

I've been using mine for 2.5 years, turned it on over 250 times and it's still like new. Let's start with the most important property: voltage accuracy. I have several Siglent SDMs and they show an accurate voltage setting calibration of less than 0.016% from 1.0V to 30.0V! , practically without drift. The residual AC current should be very low (the minimum I can measure is 0.5mV at 600kHz SDM bandwidth). Haven't tested it under full load yet. The ethernet and USB interfaces work as expected, and I was able to easily create a few Python programs that run on Linux. Windows software didn't work and was reluctant to install a bloated NI-VISA. The precision 10mA ammeter is a bit disappointing, and the "non-E" version of this power supply with a 1mA display costs $150 more! If you need to track small loads closely, you need to add an SDM to the measurement loop. Two years ago I updated the firmware to improve the network and was forced to get the Windows software to work. I had a small issue and the support engineers were extremely helpful. Multiple app and video notes are available. The firmware seems very stable now. Delivery was great, very good packaging and the reliability is also good. .very happy with it.

Pros
  • 32V/3. 2A x 2, 2.5V/3. 3V/5V/3. 2A x 1 Total 220W
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
