I don't normally write reviews on things I buy on Amazon but with this product I felt I needed to let people know what they were getting ! Firstly, straight out of the box one of the grips had a severed cable causing it to not work properly and I could hear electricity inside the grip making the connection so I took it apart and found the way, to connect the wires by crimping, which was 3 out of 4, 2 in one pin and 1 in the other was not! I had to crimp them myself and was then finally able to use the setting, after which I found the temperature dial kept jumping around like the knob wasn't hot enough and you turned the knob up a notch or two. then the tip starts to glow and gets too hot and no matter what I tried I just couldn't get the temp to my comfortable settings, of course that's my opinion, but I've used several different styles and brands of pyrography kits. should be appreciated! I would absolutely not recommend this product especially for beginners because if I didn't know better this kit would have had to give up on me before I even started this hobby! No matter what temperature the grips are set to, after a few minutes they get so hot that you can't hold them properly to use them comfortably. Using gloves can help with this, but if you're using kits that don't require gloves, hold the pen. why i want to start now!
